Drying Plants and Herbs
arrownext.png arrowprev.png
Preserving medicinal herbs and plants begins with proper harvesting. It is best to pick leaves and flowers when the plant is at the peak of its growing season, generally from the time when a plant begins to blossom and before it stops flowering. Pick only a few leaves from each plant allowing it to continue through its life cycle and set seed for the next generation.
Just a few of the larger leaves of this Agrimony plant were harvested. Within a few days there were new leaves appearing all along the stem.
